i think a vast majority of knives made on yoitube are about looks, not usability.

fascinating to watch. doubt they care about weight on the handle

Yes! My son (6.5) and I watch this. Check out Forged in Fire for more cool knife making. I have a good garage for car work but now my son want to make knives with me... hmmm. #upgrade

Good lord that’s cool.

Agreed on the handle weight. Probably fine for hacking away at branches, but if you’re doing any finer work like making points or whittling or somesuch then it’d be difficult to use the weight of the head to make the cut.
